The Olive oil festival, true festival of Provence, takes place each autumn in Sainte-Maxime, November the 23 and 24. It is the opportunity to sensitize the spectators with this small fruit which comes from highest antiquity and which gives oil whose benefits are recognized for health.

Exibitions, concerts, dances with the folk group Leď Magnoti , mass of Provence animate these two days.

 December 4:It is the festival of the light ! This day, one puts corn seeds to be germinated on a little fresh foam. During twenty days,until Christmas, these seeds will become pretty green growths, first steps of future harvests, symbols of the life which sleeps during the months of winter and will reappear in spring. They decorate the table during all the festival and accompany the meals.

 Christmas is a religious festival ; it is also the festival of Provence with its procession of traditions. The large supper, for example, at the same time frugal and generous meal will be on a table covered with three white tablecloths and decorated with three candles, and the plate of corn.

-The 13 desserts symbolize Jesus and the 12 apostles.

And when the Large Supper ends, comes the time for Christmas mass. This one holds many surprises !...
